Bus Station Beds Youth Hostel is located right in the centre of one of the most popular tourist destinations in Slovenia. All local attractions are nearby. The lake and the main event grounds are only 150m (approximately 2 minutes) from the hostel, and the Castle Bathing Area (Grajsko kopališče) is just 200m away. Unique traditional boats called pletnas sail the lake and you can take one of them to the island in the middle of Lake Bled. The Saint Martin’s Parish Church is located in the town and there’s a walkway winding all the way up to Bled Castle.
The hostel is located right next to the main bus station, in an old town house that has been recently fully renovated. This very same building also houses a mobile phone shop, a fast food bar and a large tourist agency, which offers sports activities, shuttle services by van and taxi, and even bike rental. There are also many inns and bars, a clinic and a pharmacy nearby.
The hostel has dorms and a pleasant common room, and it also boasts a marvellous terrace with a view of the lake. There are four dorms with altogether 30 beds, one of which has four beds and is also suitable for couples. Guests can use the free internet and the kitchen where they can make their favourite dishes, and breakfast at the neighbouring hotel can also be arranged.
Rental of regular and e-bikes, scooters, paddleboards and more is available at the tourist agency. The hostel also organises swimming, stand-up paddle board lessons, diving, mountain hiking and trips to the local attractions, as well as day trips around Slovenia, a trip to Postojna Cave or trips to places in Slovenian Littoral, such as Piran, Soča and Bovec, and even transfers to the airport. The surroundings teem with attractions, from the local ones, such as the small island in the middle of the lake or Bled Castle, to the more distant ones, such as Bohinj, Begunje, Pokljuka and Kranjska Gora.
