Katja Mikoš

Hey, I'm Katja. A landscape architect turned digital creator, who traded the career life after over ten years of living and working in Germany for a more peaceful lifestyle in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. Over the years, I've pursued lots of different hobbies. Many of them have given me a lot, but the things which inspired me the most have always been travel, photography and writing. Although I sometimes find myself in larger cities and urban areas, I prefer to explore lesser-known places and seek contact with pristine nature, where I can most easily switch off my mind and recharge my batteries. In recent years, we took lots of family overland trips with our old Land Rover Defender, which we converted into a camper. We also spend lots of time in France, where my partner is from.

Since 2015, I have been writing a bilingual blog (www.placesandnotes.com), where you can read over 500 articles in Slovenian and English about (family) overland travels and longer overseas trips, (wild) camping, weekend trips around Slovenia and Europe, culinary adventures, as well as useful tips and ideas related to travel.
