Volunteer of Hostelling International Slovenia
My tourist path began in the tourism club in elementary school. I continued to secondary school for tourism and catering where I learned even more about new cultures and foreign languages. From guided tours, work in hotels, research papers, traveling through European capitals, my path led me to the Slovenian coast, where as a student of tourism I strive for environmentally and socially friendly tourism. I connect theory and practice with work in the youth hostel. Working in an international environment allows me to explore new cultures and share travel experience. A large part of my time are books. I do not mind reading to kill time. My unrequited love and big desire is Africa. So far I have only traveled there through the rows of books. Therefore, I agree with my favorite writer Haruki Murakami: »Because everyone's seeking the same thing: an imaginary place, their own castle in the air, and their very own special corner of it. « My corner is a warm green carpet, called grass, where I can smell the flowers and taste blueness of the sky as the wind turns my unread pages.
