Bluetooth guide through Koper

The last year, the Municipality of Koper chose three ideas between the 16 that signed up for the tender for co-financing new tourist products. One of the chosen product was also the Bluetooth guide through Koper, ideated by the firm 3D GE studio d.o.o.,.

The locations, where the Bluetooth transmitters are situated in the town centre are the following: Čevljarska street, Tito square, Cankar street, Prešeren square, Kidrič street, Taverna, Brolo square and passenger terminal. With these transmitters the visitors can receive, on their mobile phones, the presentation of Koper with the descriptions of the most important monuments of the centre. Two transmitters are located also in Ankaran and Hrastovlje. Users can receive information in Slovenian, Italian, English or German.

The down load of information is free and very simple. You must activate the Bluetooth on your mobile phone. When you are near to a transmitter the phone asks you if you want to accept the message from BTGuides. Your confirmation permits the loading of data. When the process is concluded the mobile phone accepts the JAR installation file. When the file is open the phone requires the confirmation necessary for the installation of this application. When the installation is concluded you can run the application in the menu of your mobile phone.
