The ECO-PARK hostel and Campsite lies in Szarvaskő at a picturesque place next to the Bükk National Park, 9 km from the baroque town Eger. The visitors coming here are amazed by peace and special beauty of the landscapes. It is a popular place to go among guests who are looking for active holidays. Szarvaskő has unique environmental values, fresh air, subalpine climate and a well-arranged village outlook.

What to see & do:
Szarvaskő: 20 metres from the Eco-Park entrance is one of the branches of the National Blue Hike Route along which the nature lovers can explore the varied fauna and flora of the Bükk National Park. This tour is relatively easy to accomplish. One of the destinations can be the picturesque ruins of the Szarvaskő Castle towering over the Eco-Park. You can also visit the Teréz and Mária Springs or the beautiful Gilitika Chapel which can be found deep in the woods and was renovated in 2008. In Szarvaskő guests can find the recently built Lookout Tower from which you can admire the breath taking panorama of the Bükk National Park. Going along the geological tour path which encircles Szarvaskő, only one trip is enough to discover 80% of the minerals found in Hungary. The formations called pillow lavas are especially worth having a look at.

There are a number of attractions with different character in the area, like Eger (Kopcsik) Marzipan Museum there, Minaret, Archbishop’s Garden (Érsekkert) the thermal and Turkish Bath, Szépasszony Valley, which is the home of the world famous Egri Bikavér (Bull Blood of Eger), Castle of Eger, Szilvásvárad (Szalajka valley, narrow gauge railway, horse stable), 6 thermal baths nearby: Egerszalók, Demjén, Bogács, Mezőkövesd, Eger, Bükkszék.
