"Les Auberges de Jeunesse" (Youth Hostels Belgium) launched its new website. The goal is to offer a younger and a more attractive website than the previous one. A site, where information is more accessible and pictures are everywhere.
The big changes are:
- The appearance of several new tabs such as catering, groups, meeting rooms, events and jobs. They offer a clearer and a better visibility of the information. Users can directly have access to information they need or want.
- The integration of the former blog into the website. It allows a better overview of the events which are organized in each Youth Hostel of the network. This blog was previously available on a different site. So the integration brings together 2 different sites in only one.
- The use of the responsive design allows us to offer a useful website to smartphone users. This website offers computer, tablet and smartphone’s users to obtain website’s contents and visuals adapted to their device.
The use of links to social networks such as Facebook and Twitter or to storage platforms such as Flickr and YouTube are also more attractive and clear than the former website.
To conclude, the new website is much more user-friendly than the former one and provides a better experience to users. This attractiveness fits better with the values of Hostelling International. This new website is now available at
