Why is Cuba so special?

For a long time, Cuba had a two-currency system, which consisted of the Cuban convertible peso, which was used by foreigners and locals for specific things, and the Cuban (national) peso. But that system was abolished a while back. The food in Cuba is cheap and tastes good. And since we’ve already written about Cuba’s landmarks, let us just mention the ones you shouldn’t miss:

• The University of Havana, which has 60,000 students.
• Live music at every turn and colonial buildings in the city of Vedado.
• The 16th-century El Morro fort, which had been used as a prison for years and now serves as a spot where you can observe the most beautiful sunsets over the Atlantic.
• Veradero, which will spoil you with beautiful beaches.
• The Museum of the Revolution, the food for your soul with a few extra cultural attractions.
• And if you’re looking for some green nature, there’s Valle de Viñales, a mountain range that starts west from Havana and runs all the way to Pinar del Río.
