History tours and tourist sights

After the museum guide, we'll continue with historical tours to see some famous sights in the Czech capital. Skip the line to enter Prague Castle and admire the Gothic Cathedral of St. Vita, as well as the Old Royal Palace, learn about the history of the castle and how it was built. You’ll also explore Prague Castle’s main attractions. With a ticket to the Old Town Hall, you can see the world’s oldest astronomical clock, where the twelve apostles show up every hour from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

The Old Town Hall, founded in 1338, is made up of five buildings and has a medieval astronomical clock, the Prague Orloj, from 1410. You can also visit the old town's medieval underground and dungeon, where you’ll discover a network of rooms, corridors, and cellars beneath the city centre. On a tour of the medieval dungeon underground, you'll see scenes depicting torture and execution.

The next tour takes you through Prague’s communist history, including a hidden nuclear bunker. Built in 1950, this large bunker could hold 5,000 people. Your English-speaking guide will show you around the Nuclear Bunker Museum, where you can explore Czechoslovak history.

Discover Prague and classical art even more with a musical concert in the Church of St. Salvatore with Vivaldi's Four Seasons. You’ll find the church in the historic Klementinum area near Charles Bridge. It’s part of a complex of old buildings, including the astronomical tower, the national library, and the Mirror Chapel.

Continue your historical tour with a 45-minute boat ride along Devil’s Channel. See the water mill and enjoy views of the Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and medieval houses along the Vltava River.
