Doing sports and being in motion on a regular basis is essential for the fitness and health of young people. The new youth hostel in Bad Tölz (Bavaria) has started to take up the cause of meeting this need. In striking distance to the new location there are sports grounds, a public swimming pool, an ice hockey field, a golf course as well as facilities for skaters and a rope course for climbers. The packages offered aim in particular at sports groups and school parties.
Bad Tölz, situated between Munich and the Alps, had yet been a blank spot on the map in terms of youth hostels. Now the high standard location has space enough to accommodate up to 186 hostellers: all rooms have sanitary facilities ensuite including WC and showers. Six common rooms are modernly equipped with technical devices for meetings and seminars. Furthermore hostellers can enjoy a party room and a bistro.
The hostel has opened its doors to become a vibrant place, meeting the values of 100 years ago as well as of today: solidarity, tolerance, fairness, education and fun. Bad Tölz youth hostel is the fourth new location that has been opened in the anniversary »100 years of the youth hostel idea«.
