We all know the Erasmus program, which allows young people to spend parts of their academic lives in another country. Even later, Erasmus programmes include many other workshops and practices. Student association Erasmus ESN is also part of Erasmus with their card, which provides more than 1,000 discounts in Europe and is especially helpful to students for the duration of their Erasmus program in another country. The aim is to help students during their studies abroad.
Hostelling International and ESN share similar values, both are promoting youth mobility and youth travel. It is also important to them to educate young people and their involvement in society and to understand each other. The only logical step is to link these two organizations. And that also happened.
For the past three years, holders of the ESN card have free eHI membership and are therefore entitled to all great discounts. This means thousands of beds at a great price in HI hostels all over Europe. This discount is also useful for Erasmus students who first come to study abroad. With this new connection, Hostelling International has gained recognition and increased number of overnight stays, which means continuing development. HI membership is valid for one year just like ESN.
HI and ESN have found a way towards a common way of achieving goals. Join them in creating a better world for the young.
