Behind the gates of a former Carthusian monastery you can find Slovenia’s largest museum – The Technical Museum of Slovenia. It is located in the most beautiful natural surroundings on the outskirts of Ljubljana. Several collections can be seen in the museum: from forestry, fishing and agricultural department to textile, printing, traffic and electrical engineering.
In July and August Sunday we hold following demonstrations: of bobbin-work (25th July 2010, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.), of spinning with a spinning wheel and hand weaving (1st August 2010, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.), of printing on tiegl printing machine (8th August 2010, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.), of printing graphics (15th August 2010, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.), of handmade typesetting (22nd August 2010, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.), of hat manufacture and of flax breaking (29th August 2010, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.).
