Dublin, the capital of Ireland, is a city where you’ll never get bored. The city is colourful and full of soul, which you can find while walking around the old university, or visiting one of the famous pubs in the evening. The city is best viewed on foot as part of a guided tour where you can learn about all the major sights, such as Trinity College, the country’s oldest university, where numerous famous writers studied. The old library stores the basic Irish book titled The Book of Kells. The tour will also take you to the famous churches. It’s no surprise that the main Gothic cathedral is dedicated to St. Patrick, and in Christ Church Cathedral, you can imagine what life looked like in the 11th century. Take a river cruise on the Liffey and see the city from another angle with the magnificent towers, such as the 19th-century Custom House government building, soaring above you. Also, don’t forget to visit the Glasnevin Cemetery that is guarded by seven towers.
Dublin is known for its Guinness beer and Jameson whiskey. You can take a peek at where and how these two famous drinks are produced, and enjoy in their famous tastes while getting to know the stories of the founders of the iconic brewery and distillery. And why not grab something to eat after you’re finished with the drinks. I recommend exploring Irish cuisine in the company of an expert on a walking tour of the city’s best restaurants that lasts for more than three hours. There’s no shortage of fish and chips tasting. The most famous establishment where you can enjoy this dish is Leo Burdock. You can listen to some street music at Grafton Street and perhaps you’ll be mesmerised by the sounds of traditional Irish music. If you don’t pick up the music there, then you’ll most definitely hear it in one of the numerous pubs. One of the most beautiful ones is the Hairy Lemon, located in a yellow 19th-century house. If you’re looking for a place to relax, head to Phoenix Park, Europe’s largest city park, where you can even come across deer. You can even put on a costume and prepare to discover Irish myths in detail. Every trip to Ireland should include a visit to the famous Cliffs of Moher where you’ll be captivated by the ocean. The next stop is Galway, one of the most beautiful Irish cities. Cobbled streets filled with music, colours and attractions await to be explored. You can also explore the fascinating history of Ireland by going on a guided tour that will first take you to the medieval capital of Kilkenny, where a wonderful Norman castle awaits. Then it’s time to visit the wild Wicklow Mountains where the landscape transforms from the lush green pastures into the glacier valley that is Wicklow Gap. The monastery town of St. Kevin was where a blockbuster was filmed. The final station is the Glendalough Valley with its gorgeous landscape and ruins.
