You must also visit the Cathedral of Santiago, located in the Plaza de Santiaguito, with the diocese. It was built in honor of Santiago apostle by the number of pilgrims passing through on their way to Bilbao Santiago de Compostela. The city's museums are one the main attractions.
But besides the Guggenheim Bilbao museum has other cultural attractions like the Museum of Fine Arts, the Bilbao River Maritime Museum or the Archaeological, Ethnographic and Historical Basque Museum.
The gastronomy of the city is based on seafood, like eels and cod. The latter is one of the stars of the dishes Bilbao. Done in countless ways we can try “bacalao al pil pil” or “bacalao a la vizcaina”, two of the tastiest ways to cook this fish.
