Bilbao is located in the province of Vizcaya, in “País Vasco” of Spain. It stretches along the river Nervion and is surrounded by two mountain ranges. It has been an important place in the Spanish geography, experiencing a big development during the nineteenth century and early twentieth, which made it became one of the most industrialized towns of Spain.

You must also visit the Cathedral of Santiago, located in the Plaza de Santiaguito, with the diocese. It was built in honor of Santiago apostle by the number of pilgrims passing through on their way to Bilbao Santiago de Compostela. The city's museums are one the main attractions.
But besides the Guggenheim Bilbao museum has other cultural attractions like the Museum of Fine Arts, the Bilbao River Maritime Museum or the Archaeological, Ethnographic and Historical Basque Museum.
The gastronomy of the city is based on seafood, like eels and cod. The latter is one of the stars of the dishes Bilbao. Done in countless ways we can try “bacalao al pil pil” or “bacalao a la vizcaina”, two of the tastiest ways to cook this fish.
We may also try other dishes such as hake in green sauce or cuttlefish in its ink. For dessert we have the beads (“Canutillos”) typical of Bilbao, and as to highlight the chacolí drinks, white wine with PDO Bizkaiako Txakolina. In Bilbao there are plenty of Txoko, gastronomic societies where you can enjoy the cuisine of the area.
Café Antzokia is in c / San Vicente, 2. This is one of the most mythical “café” of Bilbao, the typical multi-space area, including cultural center, night club and bar-restaurant where everyone from Bilbao has ever been, whether to party the busy holiday weekends or eat its delicious lunch menu.
To party there is Disco Fever at C / Telleria, 27, Polígono Industrial Santa Ana. It has four rooms (black music, electronica, indie and backfiring) offering styles for all tastes in each.
