The passion of Argentine

Content

Famous for steaks, cowboys, tango, Diego Maradona and Evita Peron Argentina stretches almost 3,500 kilometers, from Bolivia to the very tip of South America. The eighth largest country in the world encompasses many climatic zones, different vegetation and geography, which are breathtaking. Majestic Andes are rising in the west of the country; east limits the Atlantic Ocean, south third of the country are dry plains of Patagonia. Rainfall in the west at the foot of the Andes give life to lush vegetation in a Lake District, which boasts with a beautiful mountains, where a great deal of hikers climb highest pecks, skiers are descending down the white slopes. Rafting enthusiasts are also thrilled as torrential rivers provide a challenging ride; the calmer the boat can take to the beautiful lakes, or walk in one of the national parks. In the northwest lies one of the treasures of Argentina - Iguazu Falls. Power, size and volume of incredible waterfalls that are spread over a length of nearly 3 kilometers and 70 meters in height are breath-taking.

But Argentina is much more. Fans of urban life will enjoy in Buenos Aires, the capital with 13 million inhabitants, European architecture, vibrant nightlife and proud citizens. Do not leave without a taste of the famous Argentinian steak, take some the time to view the tango and stroll through the San Telmo antiques fair. The good news is that after the economic collapse in 2001, the state is back on its feet again what has implications in all areas. Unemployment is falling, export is rising and the Argentines have become much more self-sufficient, as they say that the 'outside world' is expensive. Thus, in the capital in recent years restaurants, boutiques and offices grew like mushrooms after the rain, not only because of the locals and domestic currency pesos, but also because of greater inflow of money from foreign tourists, who enjoy good deals with Argentine traders.

Throughout history the country has endured many wars, about 200 years ago gain independence from the clutches of colonial Spain, barely overcome a charismatic political figure of the Perons, which have been or loved or hated, and went through major financial crises. With 40 million Spanish-speaking populations Argentina is a safe, friendly and affordable country, very attractive for Europeans and North Americans. Wine lovers should stop at Mendosa province, which has become synonymous for good wine and the best starting point for hiking through the surrounding vineyards. That avid meat eaters should add Argentina in their itinerary witnesses the fact that the consumption of beef per capita in Argentina is 55 kilograms per person (in the EU, the average consumption of 17 kilograms/person/year). According to that information is probably not surprising that in Argentina was discovered the largest dinosaur ever.
