Danhostel Aarhus City
Danhostel Aarhus City is Danhostel’s newest addition. It is situated in the centre of Denmark’s second largest city, Aarhus, known as the “City of Smiles”. With some of the city’s best views from the rooftop terrace, and top attractions nearby, this is one of the most popular locations in Aarhus.
A sustainability theme is highlighted throughout the building. Furniture from a luxury hotel in Copenhagen and handmade beds produced from recycled materials provide the interior design. There are 156 beds in 17 rooms and you get beautiful views from each window. The beds are soft and comfortable, and each has its own power outlet and reading lamp. There is free Wi-Fi throughout and a large guest kitchen allows guests to make meals of their choice. To continue the sustainability theme, the hostel grows herbs and vegetables in the urban city garden on the roof terrace, which are then used in the meals prepared in-house.
