Meet The Big Blog Exchange’s 2013 Winners!

Drum roll please. The wait is now over for the bloggers who have been biting their fingernails to find out where they will be sent in the first ever Big Blog Exchange, promoted by Hostelling International.

Fans, followers and finalists faced a tense time on Monday (April 29, 2013) when it was announced on www.bigblogexchange.org.uk via a live countdown which countries the bloggers would be visiting in this unique global experiment.

“This was the most exciting part of the whole project,” said Mikael Hansson, CEO of Hostelling International, “seeing which bloggers would be swapping with who and the new countries they will be discovering.

“Understanding different countries and cultures is one of the things close to the heart of Hostelling International and we hope that this opportunity will be one that the bloggers can share with others through their writing.”

Here is the list of the winning bloggers and where their TBBE adventure will be taking them:

The Big Blog Exchange has been supported by member countries of Hostelling International all over the world. And moreover it has created a vast community of bloggers keen to support the initiative.

“The journey for the Big Blog Exchange is really only beginning now,” said Mikael. “The competition might have finished but it is just the start of a global adventure which we aim to be able to support every year.”
