Danes often use the quote, “There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.” However, in the last decade, the temperature in Copenhagen - though unpredictable - has been milder than ever. It is also windy here, so what can we do about bad weather? Absolutely nothing. Tivoli, one of Denmark’s biggest attractions, is currently open until November 1. It will close for a short break and reopen from November 14, to January 3, 2016, for Christmas and New Year celebrations. Do not miss the spectacular fireworks.
The Little Mermaid is one of the most visited attractions in Copenhagen. She sits in the harbour at Langelinie, and visitors flock to this little statute – based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale of the same name – each day despite the weather. The

Christiania, the ‘Freetown’ of Denmark. Rent a bike and ride through the city and the surrounding areas. Feel the wind on your face, inhale the fresh air, and marvel at the fabulous scenery with colourful leaves and the occasional sunlight breaking through the foliage. Do not forget to stop at Torvehallerne, Copenhagen’s newest food market and sample, among other things, a few Danish delights such as smorrebrød (open sandwiches), and flødeboller, a heavenly Danish meringue treat.
