A New Hostel is introduced in Israel

The unique youth hostel "The Knights" is facing the old city of Akko and combines the archeological antiques that the city has to offer. The hostel accommodation has 80 rooms in high standards which have beautiful view facing the walls of the old city. The guests of the hostel will enjoy the ancient aqueduct which was used to transport water to the old city; and also the dining room, cafeteria, and a wide porch with a breath taking view on the whole city of Akko. The youth hostel has a unique design which syndicates modern design with a touch of the city's authentic style.

The opening ceremony took place on the September 20th,2011 in the presence of the mayor of Akko Mr. Shimon Lankri; and important representatives that honored us with their presents: Mrs. Edith Arnult, Chairman of Hosteling International, Mrs. Angela Eggert, Head of the Management Board , German Youth Hostel Association, MR.  Paul Goldfinch, President of EUFED and Mr. Igor Jurisic, President of the Slovenian Youth Hostel Association.

Akko is a city located in the Western Galilee region of northern Israel at the northern extremity of Haifa Bay. The ancient city is one of the oldest populated sites in the country. Akko's old city has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Large-scale archeological excavations have been undertaken and efforts are being made to preserve ancient sites.
