Slovenian hostels received seven medals

Hostels of the Popotniško združenje Slovenije received seven of nine awards.

A neat and welcoming surroundings are the basis of successful development in tourism. That is the main objective and the message of the “Moja dežela - lepa in gostoljubna” project, where the tourist societies and associations, with ever increasing involvement of local municipalities, companies and organisations (as well as professional institutions) are implementing their vision of tourist offers. The core idea was, for Slovenian towns and villages to compete among themselves, to get the title of the most hospitable and beautiful in Slovenia. Parallel to that initiative, there is also the evaluation of the Slovenian hostels, which offer high quality accommodation at affordable prices.

In three categories the hostels of the HI hosteling organization were placed among top three and got altogether seven medals of quality.

Various hostels of the HI hosteling network received two first, two second and three third places.

The winners of their respective categories were hostel DIC Ljubljana and hostel Celje, the second place went to hostel DIC Murska Sobota and hostel Brežice, the third place went to hostel pod Voglom, hostel Videc and hostel Velenje.
