Each from a different part of the world, and bringing a different viewpoint and style of leadership which will allow you to access the hostel and the city from many different ways, making sure the things that are important to you are not missed.
Mirek - An actual CZECH TOUR GUIDE, YES, and as far as I can tell, an encyclopaedia. I am pretty sure there is nothing he cannot tell you about the city's history. I challenge you to ask him a question and challenge him. If he doesn’t know an answer, he should buy you a beer. My guess is, you’ll be paying, but don’t worry, he will teach you something about beer or “pivo” too and share a smile with you. Mirek is usually accompanied by his 2 dogs Jessie and Sanka that add a great playfulness to the tour and are always happy to take care and play with your children while you learn something about the city.
Gilberto - ART ART, LOVE LOVE. Gil from Brazil will take you on many different activities in and around the city, from bike tours to city tours, marionette shows or just talking over a beer. Any time spent with him will make you a better person while increasing your knowledge of the city’s history and culture. Ask him about great beer halls, his daughter whom he loves more than the sun. Watch how he treats his co-workers - a hug for everyone upon arrival and hug for everyone when leaving, you will not find a kinder or more heartfelt guide.
Katie - WHOOP WHOOP, the Irish have landed, you never know what colour hair she will have from day to day, but you can guarantee that if she is leading you, you know you are about to have a great time. She can tell you about all the great hidden gem bars and hole in the wall beer halls. An amazing cook and lover of art, make sure and join her tour around great street art exhibits in Prague and in the evening for the party. Going out with Katie is as much of a history lesson as it is a social gathering.
Iria - The newest member of our team, but maybe the most important, she brings new ideas and new energy, revitalizing our passion in our work and the city. She comes from Spain and is an outstanding cook whom you will see at breakfast and in the evenings at our diners. She excels at getting everyone in the kitchen involved in the evening’s activity and has warmth when you meet her, you will also see that she is as SINCERE as it gets. She is happy to explore the city with people who are seeing it for the first time as she is, and always willing to spend time just getting to know someone, you will feel as if she has given some of her happiness to you, which she has, and if that is not enough, get up in the morning for her PANCAKES, they are AMAZING.
Brent - I am pretty simple, I am from Canada, and all I want to do is make you the most amazing food you have ever tasted. I have been studying cuisine for over ten years seriously and will take everyone who eats in our kitchen in account, from babies to gluten free, allergies to vegan. And all while teaching you how to do it at home for cheap. I have lived in the city for four years and there is no question about the hostel that I cannot answer, and if I cannot give me five minutes and I will have one for you. My goal is to make sure that this was hands down the BEST HOSTEL you have ever stayed at, and to make sure you do not leave the city without knowing at least five new people you call friends. If you like to skate, I’d love to join you and show you around parks in Prague.
