ARTish IN LJUBLJANA - festival of creativity and a selling exhibition of arts and crafts

LJUBLJANA IS THE PLACE TO BE ON SATURDAYS!

LJUBLJANA is indeed a people-friendly city, as its inhabitants and numerous visitors will tell you. In Ljubljana the old meets the new, it is a city of numerous theatres, museums and galleries, and boasts one of the oldest philharmonic orchestras in the world. The inhabitants of Ljubljana and its visitors can admire artists from all the different fields - from music, theatre and fine arts to the alternative and avant-garde. In warmer months, the tables and chairs of the numerous cafés fill the banks of the Ljubljanica and the old city markets. It is here, after an almost obligatory Saturday visit to the Ljubljana market or the Sunday flea market or other events, that the locals meet for a morning coffee or for an evening chat with friends.

The ARTish festival, held in Ljubljana every last Saturday of the month, features a selling exhibition of original works by Slovenian creators. From May to September, it will take place in the old city centre's Gornji trg square. Saturday 1.9. from 12:00 to 18:00 will ARTish hosted also on the last day of Trnfest in KUD.

ARTish is a series of events where artists not only show their works, but also present their methods and ideas. The festival programme also includes free creative workshops for adults and children, theatre performances, music concerts, charity projects such as exchange of used clothes, and various fundraising events.
