Content

Malta carnival The month of February is slowly approaching! February is the month of many exciting activities- Valentine’s Day and also CARNIVAL time! This year Malta carnival will take place from 12-16 February 2010. If you decide to travel to Malta on these dates you can celebrate Carnival and Valentine’s day with your loved one, all at the same time!

Carnival in Malta is the time when the streets become a theater. People dress up in colorful and original costumes. They cover themselves from head to toe and try to conceal their true identity from their friends! Many carnival parties take place and the fun never stops. In the cities such as Valletta street parades take place during the day. Evenings are reserved for the street parties for children and adults alike.

Malta carnival Rainbow of colors, loud music, crowd and cheerful atmosphere everywhere are only some of the characteristics of this festive season in Malta. You will have the chance to dress up, dance, sing and try traditional Maltese food on the streets of the capital city. Changing your identity and pretending that you are someone else for a day surely is fun! If you are not the type that likes to wear costume, you can just observe and comment on other people’s outfits. That is part of the fun as well! The most popular costumes in Malta are: angels and devils, cartoon characters, superheroes and my most favorite ones – men dressed as women.
