Hot new HI ! Taiwan Rail Package

The Taiwan Youth Hostel Association has recently created it’s very first rail package in cooperation with the Taiwan Railways and Golden Foundation Tours. The package is an excellent way for international budget travelers to explore the island and experience the unique array of Taiwanese Youth Hostels – which are of a very high standard.

The package is similar to the JR Pass and Eurail Pass which enables you to travel in style by train to experience Taiwan’s culture, traditional food and amazing landscapes at your leisure.

The package allows you to choose from the following:

• 5 days rail pass including 3 nights YHA
• 7 days rail pass including 5 nights YHA
• 10 days rail pass including 8 nights YHA

Customers can book the ”HI Taiwan Rail Package” online at www.gftours.com.tw and then arrange their own itinerary and book the youth hostels by themselves. Taiwan has 35 youth hostels located in cities and scenic rural areas which must be booked direct with each individual hostel in order to fulfill the package requirements (eg. not online) or GF tours are able to book on their behalf.

The rail pass is valid from the first day you start your rail journey until midnight of the last day showed on the rail pass that can be used for unlimited journeys with non-reserved seats on the high speed Chu-Kuang Express, Fu-Hsing Semi Express, Local Express and local trains.
