“Alpe Adria, you say? Of course, we belong to this region also!” is a response of a proud Slovene. But when we ask, if he knows anything else about this region, he most likely humbly says no. But the fact is, that it is very hard to find information about this region. It is very diverse and offers a lot of different things, but not much is written about it. The website will take you to four countries that are combined into Alpe-Adria region, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and Austria. Slovenia is the only country that the region covers entirely and the website covers some basic information about it. County Vas in Hungary belongs in this region. On the website, you will find more about the history and bigger cities in the county. It is especially rich with medicinal and thermal water. In Alpe-Adria region there are also seven Croatian counties and each is different. You can pamper yourself by the sea, in bigger cities or with good food like white truffles, seafood and of course, with good wine. In Austria there are three states in this region, Carinthia, Styria and Burgenland.
Don’t know where to sleep? The website will introduce you to every single HI hostel that you can choose from while exploring the region. HI hostels offer a high quality accommodation for a fair price.
