When it comes to sustainable tourism, Danhostel Copenhagen Amager has devised many green ideas which save money, benefit their guests and provide tangible evidence that a hostel can take the lead in helping the environment. Even though the hostel is situated in the busy area of Ørestad, a few minutes by train from Copenhagen, it is next door to one of the most beautiful areas on the island of Amager - Amager Fælled.
Construction is now underway to bring the green environment inside the hostel. In January 2018, Danhostel Copenhagen Amager will open for the new year and showcase their newest green initiative – a new architect-designed reception, café and entertainment areas with a plant wall and green niches with site-specific plants and energy-saving lighting.
Danhostel Copenhagen Amager offers 540 beds in 156 rooms with private and shared bathrooms. In addition, they provide free Wi-Fi, free parking, a large area for outdoor activities amid beautiful surroundings.
