Rajiceva Street, one of Belgrade's oldest street names
In today’s Serbia, ex-Yugoslavia, it was common to change a street’s name every time a new political party came into power. Rajiceva Street, a perpendicular street with the most famous pedestrian street in Belgrade and Knez Mihailova Street are one of the few streets which has not changed its name since 1872.
The street hosts Belgrade’s oldest Graffiti Mural, made by students of the Faculty of Fine Arts to celebrate the 25th of May – Youth Day, during the ex-Yugoslavia period.
Trip&Sleep Hostel is a fun and friendly Youth Hostel located on the number 14 Rajiceva Street. The hostel has a vibrant hipster atmosphere inspired by the alternative scenes in cities like New York and Berlin. The hostel is starting a concept by inviting guests to share their stories and be part of its history, such as the
Graffiti the Pug art intervention, when two guests from Bulgaria painted the pug face — its mascot — on the walls.
The hostel is perfect for travellers with a healthy appetite for partying, Trip&Sleep is a place where it is impossible to leave without friends. You can grab cold drinks at the basement pub or just hang out at the garden; there is always a traveller willing to have fun.
