On the site of its existing hostel in Saanen near Gstaad the Swiss Youth Hostels are building a brand new establishment. The hostel is opening its doors in summer 2014.
The new
youth hostel in Gstaad Saanenland will provide a range of facilities and services aimed at families, individual travellers, sports enthusiasts and culture lovers. The new building, a modern interpretation of the local chalet style, will offer the typical, informal ambiance, the spacious communal rooms and the characteristically inexpensive Swiss Youth Hostels prices.
Simplicity and Comfort
Accommodation in the youth hostel consists of well-appointed rooms with two to six beds. The rooms provide the simple comfort that guests from all over the world have come to value at
Switzerland’s youth hostels. Most of them face the mountains so that a magnificent panorama can be enjoyed on awaking. The new offering includes four- and six-bed rooms with showers on each floor, four-bed and family rooms with shower/WC, as well as double rooms with shower/WC. A night in a four-bed room with shower/WC including breakfast will cost CHF 59.00 per person during high season.
Relax and recharge your batteries
In summer as in winter, life takes place outdoors in Gstaad Saanenland. Here, the hostel provides garden tables and recliners with a great view of the beautiful mountains. Perfect for taking a deep breath and recharging your batteries! Parents are not neglected, either. To allow them to unwind and relax, there is a playground and a games area for the youngest guests, while table tennis, billiards and table football provide amusement and a place to meet new friends. During winter, snow-covered mountains and close-by ski areas offer a variety of activities: 220 km of slopes, different sled & toboggan runs, snowparks, panoramic winter hiking trails and much more are waiting to be explored.
Innovative and sustainable
In line with their philosophy, the Swiss Youth Hostels incorporate ecological aspects and social concerns into the construction and operation of their properties. For example, importance is attached to applying the highest ecological standards, fair prices and barrier - free accessibility for people with disabilities.
