Chillon Castle is a medieval fortress built on Lake Geneva Island. The castle was built in the early 12th century, at a time when the castle was owned by the Counts of Savoy. Over the centuries, the castle has undergone several architectural changes and additions in all three periods of operation, namely the Savoy, Bernese and Waldensian periods. The collection of the castle includes over 300 items of furniture, weapons and armoured clothing, small objects, paintings and frescoes. It is also possible to view permanent and temporary exhibitions.
Chaplin's World or Manoir de Ban, is the former home of British actor Charlie Chaplin and has been a museum since 2016. The actor spent 25 years in the Manoir de Ban mansion near Vevey, Switzerland. Chaplin's World Museum presents the actor's life in the Manoir Mansion, a simulated Hollywood studio with a silent film, and a 10-hectare park overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps. The life and work of Charlie Chaplin's modern mime is on display in the municipality of Corsier-sur-Vevey.
